Day 1: Arrival at Addis Ababa Bole International Air port
Meet and greet you FANOS Ethiopia Tours representative at exit of luggage claim and transfer you to the hotel. Overnight stay in Radissun Blu Hotel, Addis Ababa.
Day 2: Addis Ababa City Tour
You will have an early breakfast and your first visit in Addis Ababa will be the National Museum (pre historic, cultural, archaeological attractions), Ethnographic Museum of Addis Ababa University (culture, dressing style, traditional practices of over 80 ethnic groups, and collection of traditional musical instruments). Lunch at Lucy Restaurant.
Your visit also comprises tourist attraction sites like Emperor Minelik’s Palace, St. Raguel’s Church (after a drive to Entoto Mountain - 3000 meter above sea level), Merkato, (the largest open market in Africa).In the evening, we will host you at one of the best traditional restaurants of Addis where you can see the folk dances of the Ethiopian people and taste Ethiopian variety of meals. Overnight stay in Radissun Blu Hotel, Addis Ababa.
Day 3: Drive to Jimma
In the morning after breakfast, you will drive to Jimma (345 Km from Addis) via Woliso. On the way you will pass through beautiful landscapes as you drive through the Gibe River Valley. You will stop for lunch at Wolqite (160 Km from Addis). You will be arriving in Jimma afternoon and check into a hotel. Later, you can visit Jimma Museum and King Abba Jiffar Place. You will have dinner and spend the night at the hotel. Overnight stay in Honey Land or Central Jimma Hotel.
Day 4: Drive to Mizan Tefari
In the morning, you will have breakfast and drive to Mizan Tefari (213 Km from Jimma). Continue your drive to Mizan Tefari via Bonga (the birth place of coffee). And upon arrival at Bonga (125km from Jimma), you will visit to a traditional Kaffa house and learn about the culture of the Kaffa people. You will have lunch at Bonga. Then you will be driven to Mizan Teferi and check into a hotel. You will have dinner and spend the night at the hotel. Overnight stay in local hotel.
Day 5: Drive Kibish
After breakfast, you will be driving to Kibish (???? Km from Mizan Tefari). On the way visit the Bebeka coffee plantation, where they cultivate organic coffee trees, tea, spice as well as rubber trees. Short break for visit coffee farm from nursery to the coffee processing techniques. You will have lunch at Dima. Then proceed to Kibish and you will arrive late in the afternoon, you will stay at Kibish camp site for overnight stay. You will have dinner and stay the night camping. Overnight stay night camping at Kibish.
Day 6: Walk through Kibish Surma Village
Right after breakfast, an early morning trekking will take you to Surma Village around Kibish. While we organize our trekking equipment and get ready mule and Mule attendant for the next day adventure Surma trekking. Overnight stay night camping at Kibish.
Day 7: Trek to Kolu (7hrs)
In the morning, you will have breakfast and start trekking to Kolu through crossing mineral springs waters holes. You will have lunch in the bush. You will arrive late in the afternoon, you will stay at Kolu camp site for overnight stay. You will have dinner and stay the night camping. Overnight stay night camping at Kolu
Day 8: Trek to Mountain Yella (8hrs)
Right after breakfast, an early morning trekking will take you to Yella that is located on the top of the Village gives you a scenic view towards Omo National Parks. You will have lunch in the bush. You will arrive late in the afternoon; you will stay at Yella camp site for overnight stay. You will have dinner and stay the night camping. Overnight stay night camping at Yella.
Day 9: Trek to Omo National Park HQ (4hrs)
This day trek to the Omo park head quarters have our lunch and rest. You will have lunch in the bush. Late Afternoon we will have games drive as we meet our drivers after trekking days. Camp at the headquarters.
Day 10: Trek to Tum
In the morning after breakfast, you will trek to Tum. On the way visit the Dizi tribe. The Dizi people are hereditarily very short people who have beehive-like houses, similar to the Dorze. Magi, Saturday market where you will meet with the Dizi, Surma, and the Nyangatom tribes. You will have lunch in the bush. In the evening, you will have dinner and stay the night camping. Overnight stay night camping at Tum.
Day 11: Drive back to Bebeka
After breakfast, you will drive to back to Bebeka. Then you will arrive in Bebeka (late afternoon). You will check into a guest house. You will have dinner, rest & spend the night there. Overnight stay in guest house, Bebeka Coffee Plantation.
Day 12: Drive back to Jimma
Right after breakfast, an early morning drive will take back you to Jimma (??? Km from Bebeka) via Mizan Teferi. Lunch at Bonga, Kaffa . You will arrive in Jimma late in the afternoon. You will check into a hotel and take a break. Dinner will be at the hotel. Overnight stay in Honey Land or Central Jimma Hotel.
Day 13: Drive to Addis & departure
In the morning, you will have breakfast and drive to Addis Ababa (325Km from Jimma) via the Crater Lake of Wonchi. And upon arrival at Wonchi (27 Km from Woliso), you will visit to the Crater Lake of Wonchi Village (The magnificent crater lake of Wonchi is situated south of Ambo at 3220 m. above sea level. You can go down to the Lake by car or on a horseback by arrangement with local farmer’s association. A boat trip to the monastery on an island in the lake is possible). You will have lunch at Ambo. You will arrive in Addis Ababa late afternoon and you will do some shopping for souvenirs. Finally you will be taken to a farewell dinner depending on your scheduled flight; you will be transferred out to Bole International Airport for return flight back home.
